Welcome to the first edition of Mitxoda Weekly! I’m beyond excited to begin this journey with you. This space isn’t just about my music—it's about the community we're building together. A space to share ideas, knowledge, and creativity in ways that inspire us all.

Insight of the Week: The Art of Collaboration

Collaboration has always played a crucial role in my growth as an artist. Each project brings fresh perspectives and challenges me to step outside my comfort zone. My very first collaboration was with Caroline Dorian, whose powerful voice brought "La Chute," the 4th act of my EP Prognosis, to life. It was an incredible experience that marked the beginning of a new chapter in my creative journey.

Recently, I started working with another artist I met through the online music community. What began as a simple discussion of our artistic philosophies evolved into a full collaboration. We’re blending our unique approaches to create something special, and I can’t wait to share it with you soon.

While there’s also another exciting project on the horizon (more on that later!), these collaborations remind me of the power of shared creativity.

Story Time: Mitxoda, part 1

Mitxoda is a personal project, born from a deep need to express myself through music. It all started in March 2024 when I felt the urge to take my sound in a new direction. My first track, "Echo Plastique", was launched on May 10, 2024, and since then, I’ve released multiple other songs, including the EP Prognosis.

Mitxoda is my way of pushing creative boundaries and blending different forms of expression, from sound to storytelling. Every track reflects a part of that journey, and I hope it inspires you the way creating it has inspired me.

In the coming weeks, I’ll share more about how this journey continues to shape my music and the collaborations I take on.

By the way, "Sourire au Chaos" - to be released on Sept 30, had its World Premiere on OTAT247 (On the Air Tonight), a fantastic web radio from Albany, USA, on Thursday, September 26! Thanks to Dave and Lisa for this!!

Playlist of the Week: "Magic Artists Volume 1"

This week, I want to shine a light on a special playlist: "Magic Artists Volume 1," curated by Electric Blindfold and The Best of Indie Music. It’s an incredible collection of tracks from some of the most talented independent creators out there, all coming together to showcase the power of the indie music community.

Electric Blindfold has been curating an entire series of playlists like this, and it’s amazing to see so many unique voices united. Their impact grows every time we hit play and share them.

Artistic Spotlight: Inspirations from Around the World

This week, I've been exploring the diverse works of various artists, and one standout has been David Synn, a talented synth and keyboardist from Charleston, West Virginia. His track "Hypomania" exemplifies his skill at blending progressive metal, techno/EDM, and rock. David's music showcases the potential when crossing genre boundaries, a reminder of the innovative spirit prevalent in the indie music scene.

His contributions, among others, continue to influence how I think about music and inspire my own creative expressions. What are you listening to this week? I’d love to hear what's inspiring you in the world of music.

What’s Next for Mitxoda?

There’s plenty in the works! Two new instrumental tracks are ready to be released soon, and I’ve got some exciting collaborations lined up. I can’t reveal all the details yet, but you won’t have to wait long to hear what’s coming. Stay tuned!
