Big love to our friends Rod Savage, their track Time To Make You Mine just hit #1 on Australia’s Valley FM thanks to Isaac Banks! 🇦🇺
I’m incredibly proud to have featured them recently in Le Salon Indie de Mitxoda, episode 12, Under the Burning Summer Sky. Keep rising, friends!

A gentle note from Stephen Anderson of Berlos Band really moved me this week. No promo, no request, just a heartfelt message of gratitude and friendship to everyone walking this indie road with him.
It’s a beautiful reminder that sometimes, music is just the beginning of something deeper. Thanks, Stephen. ❤️

I’d love to share two videos with you on YouTube.
The first is a short feature created by Cinco Dave, the brilliant mind behind OTAT247 and indiemusicfans.com radio, where Le Salon Indie de Mitxoda airs.
The second is my very first interview, recorded earlier in 2025, now available to watch on YouTube. It was an honour to be a guest on The Bryan Gribbin All Music Matters N’at Show. Thanks so much, mate!
Le Salon Indie de Mitxoda, A Radio Space for the Rest of Us
Every Friday, 4PM Brussels time, I sit down, hit record, and press play on voices that don’t get the spotlight elsewhere.
In just 15 episodes:
180+ songs aired
30+ exclusive premieres
400+ listening hours logged
Listeners from 30+ countries
Zero pay-for-play, ever
It’s the only show I know where a Bangkok ambient artist, a Belgian electro duo, and a Iranian metal head might all share the same breath.
This is your space, and it's staying open. (and see you this Friday!)
Would You Grab a Membership Card for the Indie Dream?
3am. Coffee cold. Headphones warm… and thinking… Why curating late at night feels like building a secret indie temple?
I’m not sure if I’m the only one who treats their inbox like a crate-digging expedition.
Or if I'm the only one bouncing between Bandcamp, Subvert, SoundCloud, and inboxes full of demos that may never see a proper release.
But I doubt it.
Because the indie world, this messy, magnificent, fragile network of creators, is full of quiet night owls like me.
This week, I spent (again) about 12 hours listening to tracks that might never be playlisted by algorithms.
I wrote back to artists from Germany, Canada, and Greece. I updated the Friday lineup.
I chased a mood…
The Numbers So Far (and They’re All Real)

A Word About Money (And Why It Matters Now)
Let’s keep it real.
Even with Bandcamp Fridays… I don’t sell a thing. 🤣
I’ve accepted that. I’m not bitter. But I won’t lie, the tools, platforms, hosting, and energy behind all this? They cost something.
That’s why you now see a small ad in this newsletter. Not because I want to monetize you. But because I literally can’t continue otherwise.
If just half of you gave 1 or 2 euros today, I could:
Keep the Weekly alive
Keep the Salon Indie streaming
Reach and uplift even more unheard artists
Sleep a little better
🫶 Support via PayPal (every euro counts)
🖱️ Or even just click the ad at above, it makes a real difference.
This is still indie. This is still sacred. But survival requires solidarity…

Historical Fact: A Hip-Hop Milestone
On August 8, 1995, Coolio released Gangsta’s Paradise, a track that would become a defining moment in '90s hip-hop. Featuring the haunting vocals of L.V. and sampling Stevie Wonder’s Pastime Paradise, the song offered a raw, introspective look at the struggles of inner-city life.
Its fusion of gospel, rap, and social commentary struck a global chord, Gangsta’s Paradise topped charts in multiple countries and went on to sell over 6 million copies worldwide. More than just a commercial hit, it became a cultural touchstone, earning Coolio a Grammy and solidifying the song’s place as one of the best-selling and most influential rap singles of all time.
Keep the Historical Fact?
Nadine's Indie Treasures: Windigo Drifter
Picked with curiosity by Nadine de Macedo
There are not many release that blow Nadine away at first listen, but Windigo Drifter's "Light The Sky" is one of those. Melancholic alternative rock with a lot of punch and great hooklines. She would recommend listening to "Forever", "Days Echo" and "Chemical Night".

Until Next Week: Stay Indie, Stay Connected.
As this Weekly fades out like the last notes of a darkwave synth line, I just want to say this:
Thanks for being here. For reading. For listening.
For proving that the indie spirit is alive, not in numbers, but in people.
People who show up. Who send messages with no agenda. It’s a kind of ritual of curiosity, connection, and curation.
So whether you’re a fellow night owl, a wandering artist, or just someone who stumbled in looking for something true, I’m grateful you’re here.
And if this space ever brought you joy, made you feel seen, or introduced you to a song you now love… consider helping it keep going.
